HDB issues $1.2b in green notes at 2.586% due 2030

HDB will use the proceeds to finance or refinance eligible green building projects.

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) has issued $1.2b 4-year fixed rate green notes, priced at 2.586% per annum.

The notes are payable semi-annually in arrear, and will mature on 7 October 2030, the HDB said in an announcement on 7 October 2026.

HDB plans to use the net proceeds to finance or refinance eligible green projects under the project category of green buildings set out by its Green Finance Framework.

The notes come in denominations of $250,000 and are offered by way of placement to institutional investors. The notes were rated Aaa by Moody’s Ratings.

HDB issued the notes under its $42b multicurrency medium term note (MTN) programme.

ANZ, Bank of China, DBS, OCBC, and UOB served as joint lead managers and bookrunners.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
