HDB’s first BTO at Mount Pleasant may be highly coveted: Huttons

Prices of a 4-room flat may start from $525,000.

The government’s first Build-to-Order (BTO) at Mount Pleasant is expected to be coveted as it is in a prime location, according to Huttons.

The BTO is close to Mount Pleasant MRT, with Toad Payoh less than a kilometre away and the Singapore Chinese Girls School likely within 1 km.

"The project may be a Prime BTO as the resale flat prices in Toa Payoh are quite high and the mature estate has one of the highest number of million-dollar resale flats," Huttons said.

"The Government may have to provide more subsidies to keep the flats affordable and accessible."

Prices of a 4-room flat may start from $525,000 whilst flats on the top floors may have unblocked views and be priced above $700,000.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
