Property stocks drive majority of SGX counters turning to inflows in Q3

Six real estate firms and REITs reversed first-half net outflows.

Property stocks accounted for six of nine Singapore-listed counters that reversed net institutional outflows in the first half (H1) into net inflows in the third quarter, according to SGX.

Real estate companies accounted for four of the nine full reversals, comprising City Developments, Centurion, Hiap Hoe, and Ho Bee Land.

Elite UK REIT and Keppel DC REIT were also amongst the counters, bringing the number of property companies and REITs to six.

The nine were amongst around 40 stocks with market capitalisations ranging from $90m to $10b that recorded net institutional outflows in H1.

Another 28 stocks recorded partial reversals during the quarter.

Amongst large-cap stocks, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings and Keppel more than reversed their net institutional outflows from H1.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
