In Star Learners’ infant care programmes, our team of qualified infant educators are guided by a relationship-based approach to make meaningful connections and build strong bonds with the little ones under their care.

Through our infant care curriculum, children are immersed in sensory experiences as they explore and interact with their natural environment. Lessons are tailored to accommodate the different developmental milestones of each child, with our infant educators ensuring that activities are kept engaging and appropriate for every individual.

We also keep to the teacher-child ratio guidelines set by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), which enables ample opportunities for meaningful teacher-child interactions.

To cultivate the love of literature in children early on, our infant care Book Nooks invite them to explore and immerse themselves in various stories. Not only does this build early language skills; it also readies them for our literature-based approach when they progress to Playgroup level.

      Frequently asked questions

      Breast milk is only allowed for babies in our Infant Care programme. Our infant educators will warm it up before feeding. For hygiene and food safety reasons, we are unable to store breast milk overnight at the centre.

      We have a total of four infant care centres, which are located at Sengkang Rivervale, Tanjong Pagar, Woodlands 888 and Yung Ho.

      We recommend registering before your child is born, especially if you have a preferred centre and start date. Registering early helps you secure a place for your preferred start date.

      Infant care provides a safe and nurturing environment where babies can develop and learn through age-appropriate experiences. At Star Learners, our infant care programme is tailored to accommodate the different developmental milestones of each child, with our infant educators ensuring that activities are kept engaging and appropriate for every individual, supporting your baby’s development and wellbeing.

      Through play, exploration and everyday experiences, infants have opportunities to develop early communication, social, physical and cognitive skills. They also begin to build confidence and familiarity with routines while forming secure relationships with their caregivers.

      Our Infant Care curriculum and lesson plans are designed to stimulate the senses and engage developing infants at every stage, encouraging them to explore freely to reach their key developmental milestones.

      Guided by a relationship-based approach, qualified infant educators foster meaningful connections with each child. Through these bonds, the littlest ones are guided and engaged in a variety of activities that enhance their overall development: Art & Craft, Motorskill activities, Music & Movement, and Storytelling.

      In accordance with ECDA requirements, the teacher-to-child ratio for infant care is no more than 1 teacher to 5 infants (1:5).
