Our programmes offer enjoyable and engaging learning experiences for nursery-aged children in Singapore, aimed at laying solid foundations for their holistic development.
With 44 centres across the island, we provide convenient options to support families with children aged 3 to 4 years old.
In Star Learners’ nursery preschool programmes, we harness the power of stories with immersive and award-winning literature to provide children with rich learning experiences. With our proprietary Starbeam™ framework, our nursery curriculum helps children build important foundational knowledge and skills.
At all of our centres, we keep to the teacher-child ratio guidelines set by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) to ensure more opportunities for meaningful teacher-child interaction.

A DAY IN OUR PLAYGROUP PROGRAMME
On a typical day in Star Learners, your child will be exposed to varied activities that encourage collaboration, interactions and discussions among peers.
Learning experiences are centred around featured stories from a selection of award-winning children’s literature. Lessons from the book are then amplified through active learning, where children discover concepts, explore themes, and pick up core competencies as they play with purpose.
Throughout the day, your child can look forward to fun, activity-based lessons in immersive and themed learning areas, as they develop skills and knowledge in our key learning domains.

Frequently asked questions
Our Reading Programme begins in Nursery 2, where children learn to recognise English sounds and spelling patterns through the Code Cracker Synthetic Phonics Programme. They learn to blend sounds to read words and apply these skills to storybooks to develop reading fluency and comprehension.
Writing skills are also developed progressively throughout the preschool years, with children given opportunities to express themselves through drawing, mark-making, writing and story creation. Our Write a Rainbowâ„¢ programme begins at Playgroup and develops alongside children as they progress through preschool.
Our educators observe each child for signs of readiness, such as their ability to communicate the need to use the restroom. Once the child is deemed ready, our educators will support them through the toilet training process during school hours. To ensure consistency and success, a strong home-school partnership is vital in reinforcing toilet training at home.
At our centres, videos are used strictly for educational purposes.
For our youngest learners (PG-N1), screen time is limited to an average of two short videos (about two minutes each) per term. Our older children (N2-K2) engage with approximately six to seven videos per term, each around three minutes long. Any longer videos are shown in segments to facilitate discussion and interaction.
