SIA launches contest on B747 farewell flight

Singapore Airlines is marking the retirement of the B747 from SIA’s fleet after nearly four decades.

It is offering the chance to win a pair of tickets on its last commercial Boeing 747 flight between Singapore and Hong Kong on 6 April 2012.

The online contest is hosted on www.SIAjourneys.com. Participants need to answer five skill-based questions correctly to stand a chance to win a pair of return Economy Class tickets on the farewell flight.

Meanwhile if the winner has purchased any Singapore Airlines ticket within the period from 18 February 2012 to 28 March 2012, both dates inclusive, the prize will be a pair of return Business Class tickets on the farewell flight.

Entries can be submitted until 28 March and the winner will be announced on the website on 30 March.

According to SIA, the conditions are:

1. The prize winner must depart Singapore on flight SQ747 on 6 April 2012 to Hong Kong. The return journey from Hong Kong to Singapore must be completed by 6 October 2012.

2. If the winner resides in Hong Kong, he or she must depart Hong Kong on flight SQ748 on 6 April 2012 to Singapore. The return journey from Singapore to Hong Kong must be completed by 6 October 2012.

3. The prize is exclusive of any applicable taxes and other relevant fees.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
