July key exports rise 24.2% on AI-driven electronics demand

Electronics NODX jumped 112% from 105.1% in June.

Singapore’s non-oil domestic exports (NODX) rose 24.2% in July, extending the 20.8% increase in June, as electronics continued to benefit from artificial intelligence (AI)-related demand.

Electronics NODX jumped 112% from 105.1% in June, driven primarily by disk media products, integrated circuits (ICs), and personal computers (PCs), according to Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG).

Exports of disk media products surged 339.1%, whilst PCs grew 120.8%. ICs increased 84.5%.

Overall NODX climbed 19.4% in the first seven months of 2026.

Exports to the US rose 62.8% in July, driven by disk media products, PCs, and telecommunications equipment.

Shipments to China also grew 37.6%, supported by specialised machinery, non-monetary gold and ICs, whilst NODX to Taiwan increased 32.4%. Exports to Hong Kong rose 36.4%, whilst those to South Korea advanced 53.3%.

In contrast, NODX to the European Union fell 35.5%.

Meanwhile, non-electronic exports slipped 2.3%, following a 2.8% decrease in the past month.

EnterpriseSG said the contraction was led by pharmaceuticals, which dropped 56.7% from a high base a year earlier, alongside declines in petrochemicals and food preparations.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
