Keppel secures $110m contract for offshore wind farm substations

The contract is in line with Keppel's Vision 2030 for sustainability.

Keppel Offshore & Marine's wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel FELS, has secured a contract from a renewable energy company for the construction of two offshore substations worth around S$110m.

CEO Chris Ong said, "We are pleased to secure this contract, which reflects Keppel O&M's continuing pivot towards renewables and cleaner energy solutions. It is a testament to Keppel O&M's execution excellence, as well as our ability to deliver reliable, consistent, and quality solutions for the offshore wind industry."

Keppel O&M's work scope comprises the engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning for the topside modules of two substations. It excludes the OSS foundations, as well as electrical components to be furnished by the client. It is scheduled to be completed in 2024 to be deployed in an offshore wind farm.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
