DayOne and Sembcorp unit to evaluate on-site power for data centres

The partnership also covers renewable energy supply and maintenance services.

DayOne Data Centers and Sembcorp Utilities have inked a partnership to explore the integration of power and energy solutions into DayOne's data centre developments.

Under a memorandum of understanding, the two will evaluate solutions across areas, including on-site power infrastructure and generation, renewable energy supply, and operations and maintenance services.

DayOne and Sembcorp intend to jointly evaluate the feasibility, business case, and potential implementation pathways for energy solutions associated with agreed projects.

The collaboration is expected to support DayOne’s continued expansion across Asia, the groups said.

It builds on DayOne’s Bring Your Own Power initiative, which integrates power planning into the early stages of data centre development to identify and secure suitable energy solutions.

The approach aims to reduce execution risks, address increasingly constrained power markets, and provide customers with greater certainty as they scale.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
