5E Resources sets hearing date for GreenEdge acquisition approval

It will be held on 7 February at 10 a.m.

5E Resources Limited said in a bourse filing that the date for the court hearing to sanction its acquisition by GreenEdge Sdn. Bhd. will be held on 7 February at 10 a.m.

GreenEdge is acquiring all issued shares of the company, except treasury shares and shares held by the Offeror Concert Party Group, via a scheme of arrangement under Section 210 of the Companies Act 1967 of Singapore and the Singapore Code on Takeovers and Mergers.

The scheme meeting was held on 22 January, when shareholders approved the acquisition.

Following this, 5E Resources filed a court application on 23 January to apply for an order for sanction for the scheme.

Shareholders who wish to attend the court hearing must inform the company's solicitors, Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP, by no later than 5:30 p.m. on 4 February.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
