UOB saw the sharpest decline amongst top active stocks with a 0.77% fall.

The Straits Times Index ended -8.04 or 0.25% lower at 3,158.80.

The top active stocks were DBS, which declined 0.12%, UOB, which fell 0.77%, and Singtel, YZJ Shipbuilding and Hongkong Land which remained unchanged.

The FTSE MidCap inched up 0.49% whilst the FTSE Small Cap grew 0.3%.
