ST Electronics ties up with Motorola to co-create communication security solutions

The collaboration will assist government and enterprise organisations.

With its increasing investments in cyber technologies, it’s almost necessary for ST Electronics to invest heavily in cybersecurity.

As a result, the firm has collaborated with Motorola Solutions to co-create innovative technologies for advanced secured communications in public safety, national security and enterprise sectors.

According to a press release by ST Electronics, the signed memorandum of understanding’s focus is to help government and enterprise organisations reach new levels of security and productivity through smarter and more secure technologies.

“This can range from increasing situational awareness and efficiency among first responders in the field to providing essential information to enable enterprises to make speedy and accurate business-critical decision,” the press release said.

Meanwhile, the collaboration will also accelerate the development of specialised technologies for high security mission-critical broadband, cyber-security solutions and purpose-built applications.

“With shared global expertise and business dynamism, this partnership will create new technological frontiers with innovative solutions for the government and private sectors in the realms of cyber security and public safety,” said Lee Fook Sun, ST Electronics president.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
