COE prices mostly flat in October's first bidding exercise

Only Cat A premiums rose.

Vehicle buyers continued to stay in the sidelines at the first Certificate of Entitlement (COE) bidding exercise in October.

Most COE premiums closed flat in the exercise yesterday. Premiums for Category A cars--those below 1600cc or 130 hp--rose by a marginal $602 to $56,001.

Meanwhile, premiums for Category B cars, or those larger than 1,600cc, dropped by $1,811 to $58,190.

COE premiums in the open category, or Cat E, slipped by $2,499 to $58,801.

Premiums for goods vehicles and buses dropped by just $399 to $44,890, while premiums for motorcycles also dropped by $43 at S$6,201.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
