ALP and CapitaLand break ground on $260m automated logistics facility
OMEGA 1 Singapore is targeted for completion in H2 2028.
Taiwan-based Ally Logistic Property (ALP) and CapitaLand Investment (CLI) have broken ground on a $260m logistics development in Singapore that will combine industrial infrastructure with automation and digital systems.
The five-storey OMEGA 1 Singapore at 19 Gul Lane is targeted for completion in the second half of 2028 and will support domestic distribution, regional fulfilment, and cross-border logistics flows.
The platform is designed to allow businesses to adopt automation without making the upfront investment needed to develop separate infrastructure and integrate multiple systems, according to a joint statement.
“OMEGA 1 Singapore demonstrates how innovative infrastructure partnerships can support a more competitive and future-ready logistics ecosystem, reinforcing Singapore’s role as a leading global trade and logistics hub,” said Jacqueline Poh, CEO of JTC Corporation.
Located near Tuas Port, Tuas Checkpoint, and Jurong Port, the facility will have an approximate gross floor area of 71,000 square metres (sq m), including more than 51,000 sq m dedicated to logistics operations.
It will feature an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) with more than 65,000 pallet positions for ambient and air-conditioned operations.
ALP’s proprietary platform, ALPOS, will connect tenants’ warehouse management systems with the facility’s automation, providing a unified workflow and greater visibility across inventory movements, facility operations, and system performance.
“Logistics infrastructure can no longer be defined by space alone. As supply chains are restructured, labour becomes scarcer, and AI reshapes operations, businesses need infrastructure that connects physical assets, automation, software and intelligence as one system,” said Charlie Chang, CEO and co-founder of ALP.
OMEGA 1 Singapore—an asset under CLI’s CapitaLand Southeast Asia Logistics Fund—is ALP’s first deployment of its OMEGA logistics infrastructure platform in Singapore.
Patricia Goh, CEO, Southeast Asia and Global Head, Logistics & Self-Storage at CLI, said demand for technology-enabled logistics infrastructure is growing, driven by labour shortages, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence.
