SATS and Tocumen airport ink pact to develop Panama cargo areas
The groups seek to improve the movement of goods between Asia and the Americas.
SATS has partnered with Aeropuerto Internacional de Tocumen (PTY) to support the development of Panama as a logistics gateway for the Americas.
Under the memorandum of understanding, SATS and PTY will develop cargo areas at the Tocumen International Airport and explore opportunities in air cargo handling facilities and operations within Tocumen Cargo City.
The two groups said they seek to deepen trade connectivity, develop new cargo flows, and support the growing movement of goods between Asia and the Americas.
The collaboration, together with the future development of Tocumen’s cargo precinct, will likely support the creation of new jobs within the airport ecosystem, they added.
