Sunpower Group bags $20.1m centralised steam facility project

For the Lianshui Economic Development Zone.

Mainboard-listed heat transfer technology specialist Sunpower Group has secured a centralised steam Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) project in Lianshui Economic Development Zone which is located at Jiangsu Province, China.

The project is worth $20.7m (RMB95m). Two of Sunpower Group’s subsidiaries have entered into a joint venture agreement with Huai’an Qinglian Environmental Protection Engineering, a subsidiary of the Lianshui Economic Development Zone’s Central Management Committee, to form an entity to invest in the project together. Sunpower will hold a 95% equity stake in the newly formed joint venture entity.

The Project was secured on a BOT basis for a concession period of not more than 30 years and is expected to commence operation in the second half of 2016.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
