Hyflux looking into bid by one of the two pre-qualified parties for Tuaspring

Keppel and Sembcorp Industries passed the pre-approval by PUB, Bloomberg previously said.

Hyflux revealed that that bid for Tuaspring proposed by one of the two pre-qualified parties is under assessment by the firm. Said bid still remains subject to authority’s approval, they noted.

Previously, a Bloomberg report said that Keppel and Sembcorp Industries passed the pre-approval by the Public Utilities Board (PUB) as potential buyers for Tuaspring.

“On account of confidentiality considerations and requirements and to help protect the company’s interests in ongoing negotiations, the company cannot provide any further comments on the Tuaspring process at this time,” the firm noted.

Hyflux revealed that negotiations for pursuing strategic investments in the overall business of the Hyflux Group are still on-going as part of their reorganisation scheme.

With this, the firm said that they will provide further relevant updates to the public.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
