MOH monitors 'unusually high' COVID cases

There are 5,324 new cases as of 27 October.

The Singapore Ministry of Health reported there were 5,324 new COVID-19 infections on 27 October. It comprised 4,651 new community cases, 661 in migrant worker dormitories, and 12 imported cases.

MOH said the infection numbers were unusually high because many cases were detected by testing laboratories on Wednesday afternoon. The ministry will be monitoring the trends for the next few days.

As of 26 October 2021, 84% of the population has completed their full regimen of vaccines, 85% has received at least one dose, and 14% have received their booster shots.

The total number of cases in Singapore currently stands at 184,419.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
