Tech acquisitions hit 11 as Singapore IPOs vanish in Q3

Unicorn creation stalled even as buyout activity climbed.

The tech sector completed 11 acquisitions in the third quarter (Q3) of 2026, but recorded no initial public offerings (IPOs) or unicorns, according to Tracxn.

Its acquisition count rose from six in the second quarter with one IPO, whilst Q3 2025 recorded eight acquisitions and three IPOs.

Late-stage funding accounted for 67.2% of Singapore's overall tech funding in Q3 2026, whilst early-stage funding represented 32.1% of deals and seed-stage funding only accounted for 0.7%.

Kling AI led the quarter's funding rounds with a $2.8b raise, followed by Ant International ($1.2b), CRYPTO ($400m), Acrab AI ($130m), and dConstruct Robotics ($125m).

Robert Bosch Venture Capital, Guofang Capital, and Citadel Securities were the overall top investors, each securing one deal over the quarter.

Tracxn's Q3 report window runs from 1 July to 26 August

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
