DBS keeps ASEAN’s top brand spot as value rises 8%

Wealth management and market trading income drove the increase.

DBS retained its position as ASEAN’s most valuable brand this year, amongst 500 ranked brands, with its brand value rising 8% to $23.8b (US$18.6b), according to Brand Finance.

The increase was attributed to the group’s record financial performance and higher income from wealth management and markets trading.

Marina Bay Sands recorded the largest absolute brand value increase, climbing 35% to $10.2b (US$8b), reflecting the growing contribution of integrated resorts and tourism-related businesses to regional brand value.

TeleChoice International was ASEAN’s fastest-growing brand, with its brand value surging 288% to $67.9m (US$53m), supported by its consumer technology, enterprise digitalisation, and telecommunications infrastructure.

Meanwhile, PETRONAS led ASEAN brands in Sustainability Perceptions Value at $1.7b (US$1.3b), underpinned by its energy transition strategy to deliver net zero carbon emissions.

OCBC Bank recorded the largest positive sustainability perceptions gap amongst ASEAN brands at $21.8m (US$17m), indicating that its sustainability performance exceeds stakeholders’ perceptions.

In sector rankings, Singtel was ASEAN’s most valuable telecommunications brand at $5.3b (US$4.1b).

Millennium Hotels and Resorts led the hotel category at $673.3m (US$526m), whilst Singapore Airlines topped airlines at $3.9b (US$3.1b).

Brand Finance said ASEAN’s top 500 brands had a combined brand value of $404b (US$315.6b) in 2026, up 8% year-on-year.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
