GrabMaps has more than 33 million points of interest (POI) and point addresses in Southeast Asia. It also has high-resolution street-level imagery that provides wide to 360-degree views from positions along roads.

Based on Grab's study, GrabMaps also had a 4x lower error rate and 10x lower latency when compared to a leading third-party mapping provider.

Before its rollout to enterprises, GrabMaps was used to address Grab's need for a "more hyperlocal solution to power its services."

GrabMaps powers more than 800 billion application programming interface calls per month across a variety of the company's
services

Currently, GrabMaps provides location-based intelligence and services to all Grab verticals in seven out of the eight countries it operates.

By the third quarter of 2022, Grab expects to be fully sufficient with GrabMaps.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
