It achieved a median fixed broadband speed of more than 150mbps.

This chart from Ookla shows that Singapore has the fastest internet speed amongst its peers in Southeast Asia.

Looking at the broadband speed performance in 2021, Singapore maintained a sizeable lead against other countries by clocking more than 150mbps in Q4 2021.

Closed behind it is Thailand which clocked more than 140mbps.

Other countries in SEA however failed to even reach more than 100mbps with Malaysia clocking 75.91mbps, Vietnam at 67.91mbps, and the Philippines at 47.50mbps. Brunei and Laos meanwhile achieved close to 30mbps whilst Indonesia and Cambodia recorded the slowest fixed-line market at median download speeds of 20.08mbps and 18.89mbps, respectively.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
