Tiling Installation & Repair in Singapore
Professional tile installation and repair for HDB, condo, landed and commercial spaces — backed by a 12-month workmanship warranty.
TILING INSTALLATION AND REPAIR
We provide new tiling installation and repair services for small and large projects in HDB flats, condominiums, landed homes and commercial properties. This includes direct wall and floor tiling works, plus the necessary waterproofing for bathrooms and balconies. Common repairs include popping-tile repair and rectification works. All work is performed in accordance with professional BCA standards.
Every project starts with a free site visit. We assess the existing floor condition, advise honestly whether tiles can be saved or should be hacked, and give you a fixed quotation before work begins. You’ll know the timeline, the dust level and the final price upfront — no surprises.
We’ve been laying and repairing tiles across Singapore for over 10 years, and we treat every floor like it’s our own.
Dislodged or Popping Tiles Repair
A hollow sound, tenting or movement underfoot can mean that a tile has lost its bond to the floor. Lifted tiles should not be walked on; cover the affected area until it can be inspected.
We check the surrounding tiles, identify how far the problem extends and advise whether a local repair or extended-area replacement is more reliable.

Tile Repair
Typically, dislodged-tile cases are not localised onto a particular area, and if that is the case, replacing an extended area of tiles is the best option. This helps to ensure that there are no longer any loose or hollow tiles in the surrounding areas, which are likely to have a recurrence again if not properly rectified.
Waterproofing and Wetworks
Loose tiles, persistent damp or mould, peeling paint beside a bathroom, or ceiling stains below a wet area can point to failed waterproofing.
We first check whether the source is plumbing or the waterproofing membrane, then recommend the appropriate repair, waterproofing and re-tiling scope.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my tiles need repair?
Knock a metallic item on the tile — a hollow sound means the adhesive has failed. Tenting, bulging, or tiles popping up are also warning signs. Cover the area with cardboard to avoid injury.
What tile finishes does HMS install?
Ceramic, homogeneous, marble, and craftstone, for both dry areas (living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens) and wet areas (bathrooms, balconies, patios), plus staircases.
How can I tell if my bathroom or balcony needs re-waterproofing?
Check for loose or hollow tiles, persistent mouldy or damp patches, peeling paint on adjacent outer walls, or yellow stains on the ceiling under a shower.
Do you follow official standards for tiling and waterproofing?
Yes, tiling work follows BCA standards, and waterproofing follows HDB and BCA standard ceiling leak procedures.
If some tiles in an area are dislodged, do you replace just those tiles?
Not usually — dislodging often isn't localised, so replacing an extended area of tiles is recommended to prevent recurrence in the surrounding tiles.
How long does tiling take?
A typical HDB living room takes 2–3 days including preparation; a full 4-room flat re-tile takes about 1–2 weeks. We confirm the timeline after the site assessment.
Will tiling be very dusty?
Hacking is dusty — we cover the work area and clean up at the end of each day. If you want to avoid hacking, ask about tile overlay where conditions allow.
Can you match existing tiles for a repair?
We source from Hafary's range and show you the closest match before proceeding. If the exact tile is discontinued, we recommend the nearest alternative.
Do I need HDB approval for tiling works?
Tiling itself generally does not need HDB approval, but hacking or works affecting structural walls may. We advise based on your flat type and scope.
Can you help with just a few tiles?
Yes — we take on small repair jobs, not only full projects. WhatsApp us photos and we will give a quick assessment.
Do you handle commercial projects?
Yes — we work on offices, shops and F&B spaces. Ask us about commercial project requirements and rates.
