CoolSculpting Fat-Freeze

CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive fat reduction treatment that removes up to 27% off unwanted fats at the treated area.

Unlike weight loss treatments, CoolSculpting focuses on localised fat reduction (spot fat reduction), removing fats at targeted areas of concern. Suitable for both men and women, CoolSculpting enables the removal of unwanted fats at areas such as the waist, thighs, arms, double chin, back, and flanks. For ladies who wish to reduce fat in only certain areas and retain volume in areas like the chest, Coolsculpting is a suitable treatment option to achieve desired body contours.

CoolSculpting uses cryolipolysis, or fat-freeze technology, to permanently destroy fat cells.

When exposed to the intensely cold temperature through controlled cooling, fat cells encounter natural cell death, or “apoptosis”. CoolSculpting achieves this using controlled cooling that lead to the crystallisation of fat cells at the treated region.

Over time, the body’s lymphatic system breaks these fat cells down and naturally excretes them out of the body over 3 months. The fat freezing treatment leaves no harm or damage to the tissue surrounding it, making a safe and effective treatment for unwanted fat. Whereas fat loss is temporary with diet and exercise, fat cells are gone for good once they are destroyed during fat freezing.

Different clinics in Singapore offer a different approach to CoolSculpting. Here’s what happens during a CoolSculpting session at Veritas:

1. Consultation and body assessment – The process begins with a discussion of your body sculpting goals. A body assessment will be done to evaluate if you are a suitable candidate for CoolSculpting. As not all fat pockets and areas are suitable for CoolSculpting treatment, we may recommend alternative fat reduction treatments if you are not a suitable candidate. You will also be advised on the number of sessions required and the expected results, based on your goals and condition.

2. Application of the device – Areas will be marked according to the treatment plan. Applicators are placed on the targeted area. You may feel a pulling sensation and intense cold initially.

3. Treatment duration – Each cycle takes between 35 to 60 minutes, depending on the area treated. During which, patients can use their phone or take a nap.

4. Post-treatment care – After the applicator is removed, the area is massaged with a comfortable low-intensity shockwave to enhance fat breakdown. Some patients may experience temporary redness or numbness. Our staff will advise you on the post-care and track your progress in the next session.
