DuoWave Lift

The facial skeleton forms the foundation that gives structure and definition to the overlying soft tissues. As we age, our bones recede and undergo increased bone resorption, resulting in diminished support. While changes in bones are generally minimal (often just a difference in millimeters), the effects of fat pads and muscles shift due to changes in the bone are often dramatic and amplified through overlying structures. A decrease in maxillary bone angle and height, for example, is followed by fat pad redistribution that results in the appearance of flattened cheeks and cheek hollows. DuoWave Lift combines focused shockwave and acoustic waves to induce biological reactions through the pressure forces, referred to as mechanotransduction. Unlike radiofrequency (RF) facelift treatments which utilises heat to lift and tighten the skin, DuoWave Lift uses a mechanical action by propagating mechanical waves into the tissues. This action induces biological responses such as increase in cell metabolism, the release of growth factors that helps with bone and tissue regeneration, and cell proliferation of collagen and elastin fibres.

In a study with over 300 patients, almost all reported visible improvements in skin tightness, lift, and overall facial rejuvenation following treatment, highlighting the efficacy of DuoWave Lift as a non-invasive solution for facial tightening and rejuvenation.
