Replacement of Title: Who last held the original title deed?

Whether a newspaper advertisement is required is decided by the Registrar of Titles at SLA, and not by you or by us. It depends largely on how well the statutory declaration accounts for the title deed. Select "Not known" if you do not know.

Replacement of Title: Do you have documentary evidence of who last held the title?

For example, the letter from your conveyancing solicitors forwarding the title deed to you after completion, your written acknowledgement of receipt of the title, or the bank’s or CPF Board’s release letter on redemption. Evidence of this kind often allows an advertisement to be avoided.

How many new certificates of title will be required?

Amalgamation: Are all the lots held by the same owners?

Lots can only be amalgamated if they are held by the same owners in the same manner.

Subdivision: Will any part of the land be surrendered as a street reserve or road line?

A street reserve must be vested in the State. This is quoted as a separate service.

Street Reserve: What stage has been reached?

Has written permission been obtained from URA?

Has a licensed land surveyor been appointed?

A Certified Plan approved by the Chief Surveyor is needed before we can apply to SLA.

Do I need to know the application or SLA form number?

No. Describe the change or application you need. We will review the details and confirm the appropriate work.

What if the property is mortgaged or has a CPF charge?

Indicate this in the form. Additional work and charges may arise, including liaison with the bank, its lawyers or CPF Board.

Can I request a quote from overseas?

You may send an enquiry online. Tell us where you and any other owners or estate representatives are based so we can confirm whether we can assist and discuss signing arrangements.

What if I do not have all the documents?

Provide the information you have and explain what is missing in your message. We may need further documents before confirming the scope and fees.
