What makes up your LPA quote?

Certificate issuer fee

This covers our lawyer’s attendance as certificate issuer for the selected Form 1 service. It includes discussing the LPA with you and assessing the required safeguards before certification.

Optional services

Hardcopy form preparation, courier delivery and interpretation are separate items. Select them only if needed and confirm the arrangements with our office.

OPG application fee

This is payable to the Office of the Public Guardian. It is separate from our professional fee and appears as its own item in the estimate.

OPGO: prepare online, then meet our lawyer

For the usual online route, complete LPA Form 1 in OPGO and ask all Donees and any Replacement Donee to accept their appointments. Once they have accepted, book your certification appointment.

Bring your original NRIC or passport and your smartphone with Singpass and digital signing ready. You must attend in person in Singapore.

Hardcopy: check that the exception applies

OPG accepts hardcopy applications only in exceptional situations, subject to its approval. Please discuss this route with us before preparing or signing the form.

If you want us to complete the hardcopy Form 1 and cover letter, select Option 3 in our online submission form. Preparation and courier delivery are additional services.

OPG fees for LPA Form 1

The current application fees are S$0 for Singapore Citizens, S$30 for Permanent Residents and S$160 for foreigners. These are government charges, separate from the certificate issuer’s fee.

OPG applies the fee based on the residency status declared in your LPA and the prevailing rate when you submit it. Check your details before sending the draft to your Donees.

Certification involves an independent assessment

Our lawyer must be satisfied that you understand the purpose of the LPA and the powers you give your Donees. The lawyer also checks that no fraud or undue pressure led you to make it.

Certification cannot be promised in advance. If concerns remain, the lawyer may need more information or may decline to certify. Payment of a fee does not guarantee certification or OPG registration.

No. The summary shows the government application fee separately. The combined estimate helps you plan your costs, but the OPG component is payable to OPG at its prevailing rate.

The calculator adds S$50 for each person who needs Mandarin or Hokkien interpretation at the signing appointment. Select the relevant number and tell us your language needs when booking. Please contact us if you need another language or arrangements outside the listed options.

No. That add-on is for preparing a hardcopy LPA Form 1 and cover letter under Option 3. For an OPGO application, complete the online details and obtain the Donees’ acceptance before booking certification.

Your Donees accept their appointments through OPGO before you meet the certificate issuer. They do not sign with you at that meeting. Ask our office in advance if someone will accompany you or if you need help with a hardcopy signing arrangement.

No. It covers our Form 1 services only. We do not provide an LPA Form 2 service. Form 2 involves customised powers and requires clauses drafted by a lawyer.

For OPGO, complete the application and obtain your Donees’ acceptance, then book an appointment. For an exceptional hardcopy application, contact us about the appropriate route and any preparation assistance. The calculator itself does not submit an application.
