The prescribed Commissioner for Oaths fees
Rule 10(3) and Part II of the Schedule to the Commissioners for Oaths Rules prescribe these commissioning fees. Interpretation and outcall attendance are separate services; their charges are not statutory rates under this Schedule.

These are commissioning charges at a private law practice. Court counter services may apply separate fee schedules for particular proceedings. This guide does not include court filing fees.
Commissioner for Oaths fee calculator
Select the document type, number of deponents and exhibits. A deponent is the person making the affidavit or declaration. For several documents, calculate each separately and add the totals.
What affects your total?
- Documents: each document requiring commissioning is counted separately. Several pages in one document do not automatically mean several commissioning fees.
- Deponents: each person makes their own oath, affirmation or declaration.
- Exhibits: count the exhibits required to be marked, not every page within an exhibit. Follow your lawyer’s or recipient’s requirements.
For example, one person making two separate SDs without exhibits pays S$50 for commissioning. If the number of deponents or exhibits differs, calculate each document separately.
Interpretation and outcall attendance
Our standard service is for English-speaking deponents. Mandarin or Hokkien assistance is limited to simple documents of one or two A4 pages, by prior agreement.
Short interpretation may attract an additional fee estimated at S$50. Availability and the fee must be confirmed before attendance. We do not offer lengthy or complex interpretation or other languages or dialects.
Outcall attendance is subject to availability and a separate quotation. The calculator does not include travel or outcall charges. A calculator selection does not confirm an appointment.
Bring documents ready for signature
- Print the completed, unsigned document and all exhibits before attending.
- Check the correct wording and format with your lawyer, the receiving authority or the applicable court rules.
- Bring your original NRIC, FIN card or passport. Your particulars should match the document.
- Sign only when directed by our Commissioner.
The commissioning appointment does not include legal advice, guidance on contents or format, drafting, corrections or editing. We generally do not scan signed documents. Papers that are not ready may require another appointment.
Understanding and mental capacity
Each deponent must understand the document and the oath, affirmation or declaration, have the mental capacity to make it, and act voluntarily.
Tell us beforehand about any concern affecting understanding or communication. Commissioning cannot proceed if our Commissioner is not satisfied. A family member cannot make the declaration for the deponent.
Appointment and payment
Wait for booking confirmation before travelling. Booking requests are reviewed only during office hours; requests sent outside those hours may not be attended to until the office reopens.
