Before you start your POA revocation online form

  • A copy of the existing POA and its court cover, if deposited.
  • The POA date, deposit date and case number shown on the documents.
  • Identification and contact details for the donor and attorney.
  • Your signing location and any urgent transaction deadline.

The donor is the person who granted the powers. The attorney is the person appointed to act. Please check their particulars against the existing POA.

Check that this service fits

This page is for instructions to revoke an ordinary Power of Attorney. A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) follows a separate revocation process.

Contact us first if the POA is stated to be irrevocable, was given as security, involves a dispute, or you only want to remove some powers or one attorney.

If you cannot locate the POA or court cover, ask our office what to provide. Please do not guess the dates or case number.

Complete your POA revocation online form

Work through the form and check your entries before submitting. Use Save and Continue Later if you need time to gather the documents.

Submitting this form does not itself revoke your POA. We must first review your instructions and advise on the documents, signing and any filing required. Giving notice to the attorney and relevant third parties is a separate step.

After submission, check your inbox and junk folder for our email. To correct an entry, contact us with your name and submission date.

What happens after your POA revocation online submission?

1. Review and prepare

We review the existing POA and your instructions. Confirm the scope and fees, then check the draft deed carefully before signing.

2. Sign the deed

Signing in Singapore? Book a revocation signing appointment after submitting your instructions and confirming the deed is ready. If signing overseas, tell us the country and wait for our guidance.

3. Filing and notice

Where applicable, we arrange filing against the existing High Court POA record. Agree who will notify the attorney, HDB, banks or others relying on the POA, and keep proof of notice.

POA revocation online questions

No. This form sends us your instructions for review. It does not itself sign a Deed of Revocation, file a document with the Court or give notice to your attorney. Tell us promptly if a transaction is pending or you are concerned about continued use of the POA.

For an ordinary revocable POA, the donor can generally revoke the authority while having the capacity to do so. The terms and circumstances still matter. An irrevocable POA or one given as security requires specific advice. Please send us the document for review.

Tell us where you intend to sign. We will explain the witnessing and document requirements for your circumstances. Obtain our instructions before making an overseas appointment or signing the deed. Our POA revocation guide explains the usual arrangements.

Please contact us before using this service if you only want to change certain powers or remove one of several attorneys. The Supreme Court Registry does not accept a document called a deed of revocation if it only partially revokes the powers. The appropriate document needs separate review.

Identify the attorney and everyone who may still rely on the POA, such as HDB, a bank or a solicitor handling a transaction. Agree with us who will give written notice and provide supporting documents. Court filing does not automatically notify all these parties. Keep a record of delivery and any acknowledgements.

Send us the POA so that we can check its terms and the reason you need revocation. A fixed term or another terminating event may have ended the authority. Do not assume that every expired POA requires a new deed, or that a new POA automatically cancels the old one.

No. A Lasting Power of Attorney is governed by a different process involving the Office of the Public Guardian. Contact our office for the appropriate guidance. Please do not submit an LPA through this ordinary POA revocation form.
