Notary Public Fee for a Company in Singapore
Our notary public fee for a company starts at S$75 for each notarial certificate, plus the mandatory SAL apostille fee of S$80 (S$87.20 with GST). Therefore, you can work out the whole cost of notarising your company documents before you attend our office in Singapore.
When you need a notary public fee for a company
A Singapore Notary Public must witness the execution of an instrument, for example a power of attorney or a mortgage, where the signatory is a company. Moreover, the Notary must inspect the company constitution and the board resolutions, so that the company is not acting ultra vires. Alternatively, the directors and the secretary may execute the instrument as a deed under section 41B of the Companies Act. In either case, the Notary then makes a declaration about the execution by the company.
Consequently, company notarisation takes longer than a simple certified true copy. If an individual is signing in person, please use our notary public fee for witnessing a signature instead. This note is general information only, and it is not legal advice.

Documents to bring to the appointment
Before we can confirm the final notary public fee for a company, please bring the following items to the appointment.
- The instrument to be executed, for example the mortgage or the power of attorney
- Identity documents of the directors or the secretary who will sign
- ACRA business profile of the company, issued within the last three months
- The constitution, or memorandum and articles of association, certified true by a director
- The common seal, if the instrument is to be sealed
- Board resolutions approving the execution, whether under seal or under section 41B(1) of the Companies Act
After notarisation: collecting the SAL apostille
After the appointment, the client brings the notarised document personally to the Singapore Academy of Law to collect the apostille, and no further payment is required at SAL, because our notary public fee for a company already includes the apostille fee that we pay to SAL on your behalf. Alternatively, we can collect it for you at S$50 per trip, usually within one to three working days.
Notary public fee for a company: frequently asked questions
Is the notary public fee for a company charged per document?
Yes. Each document needs its own notarial certificate at S$75. Therefore, three separate instruments attract three certificates.
Does every company document need an apostille?
Not always. However, most overseas authorities now ask for an apostille, because the Apostille Convention entered into force for Singapore in 2021. Consequently, our calculator treats the apostille as part of the notary public fee for a company.
Can the directors sign without a common seal?
Yes. Under section 41B of the Companies Act, a company may execute a deed through its authorised officers. Nevertheless, we still need the board resolutions and the constitution.
Must the ACRA business profile be an original?
No. A recent electronic copy is acceptable, provided it was issued within the last three months.
How long does a company notarisation appointment take?
Most appointments take about thirty minutes, provided the resolutions and the constitution are ready, and the notary public fee for a company does not change with the length of the attendance. However, complex instruments may take longer.
