Witnessing of signatures is not available by Zoom, video call or other remote means — the signer must sign with wet ink before the Notary Public. For some digitally verifiable certified true copies, attendance may not be required; we will confirm after review.

Singapore Notary Public: Frequently Asked Questions
What documents must I bring to the appointment?
Please bring the original documents together with your NRIC, FIN card or passport. In addition, companies should bring the ACRA business profile and the board resolution. Above all, do not sign beforehand, because the Notary Public must witness your signature.
How long does the notarial process take?
Most attendances take about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the service. However, an Apostille adds time, since the e-Apostille arrives by email while a physical Apostille takes one to two business days.
What are the fees for notarial services in Singapore?
The Notaries Public Rules prescribe the fees, so every firm charges the same statutory rate. For instance, witnessing one signature costs S$40 plus the S$87.20 SAL Apostille, and a certified true copy of a single page costs S$10 plus the same Apostille fee. Is remote or video witnessing available?
No. Singapore law still requires you to appear before the Notary Public in person, because the Notary must verify your identity and witness your signature. Nevertheless, the online submission and the e-Apostille make some administrative steps proceed separately; signature witnessing is never remote.
Do I need an Apostille as well?
Almost always, yes. Since 16 September 2021, every notarised Singapore document must carry an Apostille issued by the Singapore Academy of Law. Therefore, please confirm with your overseas recipient whether it accepts the digital e-Apostille, or whether it insists on a physical certificate.
